Two different local Miele dealers said I wanted a canister --NOT an upright -- and showed me that this model had shorter brush hairs that would not constantly clog with pet hair. Having done my homework pretty thoroughly and found that the Miele S516 is the best dog and cat hair vacuum for mostly hard-surface floors, I discover that it has been discontinued! Two different local Miele dealers said I wanted a canister –NOT an upright — and showed me that this model had shorter brush hairs that would not constantly clog with pet hair.

Let’s pressure Miele to bring back a decent pet hair CANISTER vacuum!
