A number of Dyson vacuum cleaners include their Air Muscle™ technology, but what exactly is this technology and how does it Air Muscle work?
Simply put, most modern vacuum cleaners can adjust the height above the floor to ensure the best possible suction for each floor type. However, the systems used in these conventional vacuum cleaners often allows air to leak and therefore loss of suction. Airmuscle was designed to combat this and keep the Dyson vacuum cleaner precisely adjusted to any floor type without the lose of suction.
Airmuscle technology is made up of three components, all engineered by Dyson’s research & development departments. These three parts are:
- A Pneumatic Actuator – pulls the cleaning head into the carpet.
- A powered cam – raises and lowers the brush bar depending on the type of floor or carpet length.
- High-Torque Clutch – providing more power to the brush bar so that it has better cleaning power and the ability to dislodge dirt from deep within the carpets.
These three components work together to provide outstanding suction and cleaning power in your Dyson vacuum cleaner.
